Sponsorship.

The West of Scotland Golfers Alliance was formed in 1932, originally to give PGA golf professionals the opportunity to play tournament golf during the winter months and has been highly regarded ever since. Now membership is made up of a healthy mix of professionals, assistant professionals and talented amateurs. However many professional and assistant professionals can no longer spare the time for an event which does not return a substantial prize fund.

During our 2008/2009 season, which will start on 1st October 2008, the West of Scotland Golfers Alliance will be running 10 events at various golf clubs in the West of Scotland throughout the winter months. At each event potential sponsors will be able to send two of their employees/clients to play with a PGA professional at one or more of our events, in addition they will have lunch in the clubhouse of the course they will be playing.
Various other incentives are detailed below.

• Sponsors own advertising banner to be placed at the first hole of the sponsors event. (The West of Scotland Golfers Alliance could arrange for the supply of a banner to the sponsors own criteria). CLICK HERE for an example, costs below
• Sponsors Logo to appear on this Web Site with a link to the sponsors website.
• Sponsors Logo will appear on posters distributed to every Golf Club in the West of Scotland advertising the West of Scotland Golfers Alliance. (Potential for tens of thousands of customers)
• Sponsors artwork to be included in full page advert in diary distributed to every member and guest of the West of Scotland Golfers Alliance.
• Sponsors name will appear in the National Press reporting winners of the event.
• Sponsors name and/or logo will appear on any advertising media used to promote the West of Scotland Golfers Alliance.

Sponsorship should in turn increase the number of professionals and assistant professionals joining the West of Scotland Golfers Alliance, which will create a higher profile for the event and will also allow professionals to continue their play throughout the winter season.
